# How do I export or delete my data?

> You can export your Klipy contacts to a CSV file at any time. Here's how to do it and what's included in the export.

Klipy lets you export your contacts to a CSV file whenever you need to — for backup, for migration to another tool, or to share a contact list externally.

## How to export

**1. Go to Contacts**

Navigate to **Contacts** in the left sidebar.

**2. Apply filters (optional)**

If you want to export a specific subset of contacts — for example, contacts from a particular company, with a certain tag, or within a date range — apply the relevant filters before exporting.

**3. Click Export**

Look for the **Export** button in the top-right area of the Contacts view. Klipy will generate a CSV file based on your current filtered view.

**4. Download the file**

Once generated, the CSV will download to your browser's default download folder.

## What's included in the export

The exported CSV includes the contact fields stored in Klipy:

* Name (first and last)
* Email address(es)
* Company and job title
* Phone number
* LinkedIn URL
* Website
* Tags and notes

> Email content, meeting transcripts, and AI-generated summaries are not included in contact exports. The export is contact record data only.
